The Power of Music / Dance / Art & Anime


Please don’t underestimate the power of music, dance, art (and even anime) that can bring about much joy and happiness to you on many levels where you may even sometimes shed a tear. While their benefits may be perceived to be less tangible compared to traditional medicine (and perhaps aligned more to the softer aspects of medicine), we know they can be potentially as therapeutic and help to boost your physical and emotional wellbeing. Here, I have put a few examples of each of them but hopefully you may be able to find something that resonates with you. You can always make your own playlist of songs or create a selection of websites you fancy suited to your current mood. Taking the quote from Hipprocrates,

Wherever the art of medicine is loved, there is also a love of humanity.

Upbeat Songs  


Sometimes you may want that upbeat music, the song that allows you to be in the fighting spirit mode, the oomph that gets you through the tough times, or merely something that keeps yourself stay positive and focused (or even reminisce over the good times). You can always make a simple playlist using apps like Spotify and iTune, etc.
